Foreman

Responsibilities

As a Foreman:

• Supervise & coordinate daily crew operations on specific projects

Crew Operations:

• Maintain a clean and orderly work site that has clean trucks and equipment. Ensure that equipment on the job is maintained according to mechanics recommendations.
• Assist with recruiting and training of new hires
• Enforce the company work & safety rules. Enforce company policies. Prepare weekly safety management documentation, including trenching logs.
• Keeps first-aid material readily available; updates MSDS book.
• Conduct employee evaluations, get an understanding of employees for potential further development.

Project Management:

• Supervise & coordinate daily crew operations
• Read & understand plans, specs & job sheets
• Will work daily with engineers & sub-contractors
• Communicate job schedules; prepare neat & accurate as-built’s
• Manage materials; Document extras & change orders; Manage daily time sheets.
• Manage rental equipment
• Fill in wherever needed to help get the job done
• May perform other duties to help other departments during the offseason (estimating, snowplowing, training).
